6-20-09 Day of Action

SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL WHO DONATED OR VOLUNTEERED DURING THE STUFF THE BUS: SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE!

With your help, we helped to collect over 4,100 school supplies at an estimated value of more than $2,300!

We were also able to collect $74 in donations in Flagler County. Support from the community for this event was amazing with droves of people coming and dropping off donations. The Walmart in Daytona Beach even sold out of nearly all school supplies that had been requested!

Where did these supplies go?

Flagler County:

Donation in Flagler County went to the newly created "Stuff Bus" which is a joint project between Flagler County Schools & the Flagler County Education Foundation! The "Stuff Bus" will be an on-going mobile project serving basic essentials to those in need. This was the first project to kick-off the new Stuff Bus.

Volusia County:
Supplies donated in Volusia County went to teachers and students in those most impoverished schools.
